Welcome!
Beers

First and foremost I would like to welcome you to my forum. I know there are many different forums out there, and I just want to thank you for being a part of mine. The reason why I started this forum and am in the process of building a webpage is so all you zombie fanatics, like myself, have a place to go and discuss topics that would seem crazy anywhere else. I am one of many gamers who are intrigued and at times obsessed with Treyarch's zombie mode. They have done an amazing job with the multiplayer as well as campaign. Who would have thought they would out due themselves with zombie mode. Zombie mode has become increasingly popular amongst gamers for its fast action and griping game play. With each zombie map they release, the game play is tremendously improved. They raised the bar so much since their first zombie map, that it has become a full blown story.

Before I go any further I would like to introduce my self. My name is Dan, however most people know me by my pseudonym/ gamer tag carbonfibah. I am an avid gamer and a car enthusiast. I am very active on aggregame.com as well as the xbox.com forums. I live north of Boston, in the wonderful New England state of Massachusetts. I am 22 years old and have been gaming for the past 12 years. I have owned dreamcast, playstation 2, and xbox 360. As a kid I was an avid PC gamer with all the classics. My taste of games primarily revolves around anything from the Call of Duty franchise. Check out my Gamer Profile for a complete list of games I've played on the xbox 360.

Now, there are a lot of theories out there as to where the zombie story has been, and where it could possibly be headed in the future. This forum is dedicated to piecing together all of the clues in front of us and to be able to come up with a full synopsis. I have started a handful of threads on popular forums such as Call of Duty: Headquarters, Xbox.com, and Aggregame.com. These threads have been met by a whirlwind of enthusiasm as gamers across the world come together sharing ideas, hypotheses and theories about possible connections that well help us unlock the story behind zombies.

In early June of 2009, I had an unbelievable opportunity handed to me. I was asked to fly out to Santa Monica, California to preview Treyarch's recent DLC release, Map Pack 2. When Josh Olin, Community Manager at Treyarch asked me, I nearly fainted in disbelief, I kept saying to myself. "Can this be real? Did he really ask me to fly across the US for a weekend of exclusive gaming!?" Upon my trip there I met some really great people. It is always surreal to meet the people who physcially created something you have such a deep passion for. The first night we were there, we all went out for dinner at a really nice steak house. This was where I got the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the big dogs down at Treyarch. Over some drinks and steaks that just melted in your mouth, I was able to squeeze in a few questions with Dan Bunting, the Senior Producer at Treyarch. One particular comment that he made, that has stuck in my mind was something he had said about zombies. I had asked him if there were going to be any easter eggs on the new map Shi No Numa. I referred to the toilet on Verruckt that you flush 3 times and plays "Lullaby For A Dead Man" (A Treyarch song). He simply smiled at me and said that there are a ton of easter eggs in the new map. Boy was he right! It was also on my trip that I became aware of the new introduction of 4 characters and a storyline. Since my trip to Treyarch I have spent countless hours investing this story, and trying to piece together the hints they put in to the game. I have sparked the interests of many with my posts, comments and at times outrageous theories. I am active on Twitter and have received numerous @replys thanking me for my write ups, giving me new theories to ponder about, and answering some of my conundrums. It is a really cool thing to be able to inspire a community to look beyond the daily routine of playing, and search for a deeper meaning. This is what has made the game more fun for me, and many others. I have since been back to Treyarch to play Map Pack 3. That was a great time as well.

On a side note.

I currently do not work for Treyarch. I would like to some day however. I am currently working on improving my skills in certain areas to become more qualified to be able to even ask for such a great opportunity.

I really like zombie mode. I have since the NDU. I have loved every zombie map to date. Once the idea of a storyline was presented to me, I instantly got hooked and started searching for easter eggs. I found a lot and with the help of other xbox forum members, (some of which are here on this forum) I compiled all of the findings and presented a very good theory about the story line. I know this was passed around Treyarch and I received positive feedback with it. My dedication to the storyline continued and was most definitely a determining factor in my return to Treyarch studios to play test Der Riese. While I was there I got to talk to some very cool people and made some friends. Who I play with on occasion, when they aren't too busy working Wink So this thread was very popular and could be found on other forums and sites across the web. The theories interested a lot of people, and it got a very good response. I realized that this story line and everything with it is VERY fascinating, and I wanted to know more. I know I couldn't crack the storyline by myself, so I decided I could use some help. I then proceeded to create this forum, after I returned from play testing Shi No Numa at Treyarch. This forum was made so people, like myself who really enjoy zombies and are intrigued by the storyline can come share and discuss. I have found this forum to be incredibly popular and an awesome community. Together we have come up with some amazing things. Aside from the storyline this is a great place to meet other zombie fans and play with new people and learn new things and strategies.

My understanding is that people from Treyarch have seen this forum and read some posts, but I do not know how many currently view or participate here. I would hope a few because of all the great things you guys suggest and talk about.

All I can hope is that they produce some kind of zombie game with a continuation or even a new storyline all together. I would spend $60 on that in a heartbeat. I think that the concept is impeccable and there is so much more that could be done with it,

I dream of the day when I would be able to create such a game that so many people would enjoy.

But i can assure you all, that i currently do not work for Treyarch
