I want to know what is everyone's choice is when it comes to getting the dg-2 or the raygun. Or if you like both is it a good idea to have both of them and not have a big heavy mg.
Me personally I like the dg-2 way better than the raygun. So I would have the DG-2 and say an mg42 rather than the ray gun. Plus the raygun can "F" up a game real quick when you shoot a zombie/dog thats too close. I think it's safe to say that everyone here has experienced that a time or two. Well hat's just my thoughts on the two guns so let me know yours.

I just played a round and I had both!, It was good fun! =) I love each of them for certain reasons. It is hard to choose just one or the other.

level 24 i was doint the commm room stragety and trhere was a zombie in front o me my other 3 teamates dead and i shot a zombie wit a raygun infront of me and i dide

Thats when its the worse when you are last one left. Or if your in solo and at a real high lvl. then down yourself. RAGE ensues after somthing like that happens. Happy hunting! & good luck!

I prefer the wonderwaffe because you can down yourself with the raygun and the dg-2 is better to clutch it out.

I agree, the ray gun always gets me down, especially when there are dogs.

If I had to choose I'd definitely go with the DG-2 ..... real lifesaver in higher rounds. The ray gun is ok for the initial rounds but from what I've seen it gets useless near round 20 or so. Add to that the damage it can cause you and your teammates not really the ideal weapon.

What I do like about the ray gun though is that it has plenty of ammo compared to the DG-2. My ideal choice would be to have both at the starting rounds and switch to a browning later on ..... that is if I survive

I prefer the wonderwaffe when doing the spawn room glitch but by myself or when im not doing glitches i go with the raygun since the WW is only good when you have 10 zombies right in front of you

Not true my friend. The dg-2 is a very good gun to use on the dogs. It will save your life! If you are with 4 ppl and someone has the dg-2 its good all of you to get in a corner together and when the dogs come and there are more than one around you at a time the dg-2 will take them all out!

The raygun is the most dangerous. I don't think the DG-2 can hurt you. Sure it messes up your screen a little bit, but I have never had it kill me!

This happened in a public game last night. 3 of us were down towards the end of round 10 and the one guy left in one of the huts turned on the electric barrier. All he had to do was board up a couple of windows and take care of the rest of the zombies. He stood at a window boarding it up and tried to shoot at a zombie outside with a ray gun and managed to shoot himself and end the game.

Lesson learnt: ray gun - bad lol.

Ok I think I might change my position a little on this subject. I just had the raygun/DG-2 combo and it was working out great. I know the raygun can be deadly to yourself, but if you are very careful it will save your life.

I think that in earlier rounds (like rounds 1-20 or so) if you are lucky enough to have the DG-2 and the Ray Gun, use the Ray Gun, unless the zombies completely swarm you, in which case use the DG-2. After round 20 it's best to get rid of the Ray Gun for something like a Browning or Thompson. I prefer the DG-2 really but Ray Gun is a lifesaver in earlier rounds, it is also extremely helpful in multiplayer zombies because you can use it when you are downed, making it much easier for your teammates to revive you.

All I know is that when someone gets downed by a ray gun I go gonzo ape shit. It is like unavoidable when I play 4 player with my buddies. Wonder Waffle is great, it is just that teh amn thing isnt a main weapon.


In conclusion! The ray gun and wonder waffle both have their ups and downs. But Wonder waffle> Ray gun in most situations.
