The only thing we know order wise really is that SNN is set after veruckt because of the radio transmission everything else is open to speculation.

i thought it would have gone der reise > nacht > veruckt > snn

der reise being the main testing place and experiments etc

why couldnt they just make it easy and have it in chronological order by when they released them

anyone noticed the physical appearance of the zombies from all four maps?
I see major differences.
The Der Riese zombies look like war torn corpses, with some replaceable parts in their bodies.

Nacht and Verruckt zombies look more human than those of SNN and Der Riese, evidence could suggest that those were infected while they were still alive.


Therefore the order of which the outbreak occurred is impossible to suggest. For all we know, the facilites, with the exception of Nacht, could have simultaneously ocurred. It will all depend on where Treyarch goes from here.

I think they probably weren't worrying as much about what the zombies looked like early on, but when the game got more popular, they made them more zombie-ish.

Since Si No Numa I always thought they would try at connect Nacht der Untoten to the story, but I wasn't quite sure how. The best theory I have came from Der Riese. You see several buildings in Der Riese, animal testing, doctor Maxis's office... and an automobile garage. The garage doesn't have any automobiles and didn't seem to fit in my opinion. If you notice outside the windows in Nacht der Untoten you see 4 Axis trucks, and you also see two trunks in the help room corner with the Third Riech logo. They only thing I could think of that would possible link this map is if the zombies, or supplies (etc) was trucked from Der Riese to Naught der Untoten.. but I can't seem to find any evidence.

I actually still enjoy playing Nacht der Untoten and have played there as recently as last night. There was nothing that stood out as bieng any different.

Thats bullcrap about the new easter eggs. I played it last night and I didn't notice any changes. If they were going to add new easter eggs I would have thought they would have made the powerups speak as well "INSTA-KILL" etc.

I played it for 2 hours w/ 4 people looking.... there isn't anything new.

I really don't know where NDU goes in the story, and it cant be after any of the other 3 maps cause Verruct is technically the first (Or is it :O?) And then shi no numa cause it says "We have failed to contain the asylum. etc etc The giant must rise repeat der riese must rise" Or something along those lines.. But if they do manage to squeeze in MP4 before MW2, it might have the first outbreak.

i really don't know what the order could be, but seeing as Der Reise is where the experiments first took place, i would think thats where it started. because he says "we failed to contain the incedent at the asylum" doesn't mean it had to be first, maybe that's just the one the said, telling "peter" that their containment failed

I agree with most of you but it would've helped if the added radios with info on Nacht der Untoten to give us clues to what really happens. Although they probably didn't know it was going to such a hit so they didn't think about that. But if they can make new maps and sell why not make a new Nacht Der Untoten (Better graphics because I've seen zombies five feet away ripping off planks, ect.) with radios and give us a better description of what happened, and just for the record I've never played Shi No Numa or Der Riese so Im not sure if they describe the background or not. But I know people who have played it and they tell me they do have radios with the background so...

hey guys i was looking at a recent interview with a treyarch dev, and he said this "I know that in the new one, Der Reise, there are an overwhelming amount of Easter eggs and I am pretty sure that not everything has been discovered yet." does this mean there are still a lot of easter eggs to be found?

It means it's before Shi No Numa, and therefore before Der Riese. If there is no MP4(Supreme Doubt), then NDU being the second outbreak would put Verruckt first.
