In a way, I think we all kind of work for Treyarch.... As much as I enjoy the continuing developement of the story line, and various therioes, I find it to be a "hard sell" that they actually put that much time and effort into what is essentially a mini-game/off shoot of thier real "cash cow" the Call of Duty series.

It is more likely, and my guess, that after thier initial success with NDU, and increasing fan support following Verruck, they "trolled" through various forums like this one and harvested the ideas that fit best and then incorporated them into each subsequent map pack. They seem to be updating as we go along to "backfill" some of the details. This is apparent in some of the the "Intel" they periodically release through COD Headquarters.

This would speak to the reason why there is alot of discussion, no clear story line, multiple plausable theroies, and no solid leads that point to a coherent ending.

Sometimes i wish we had such great forums here in Germany for the German community, but we don't. We don't even have a very active community on the official COD site.

I would be really disapointed if that were the case ='(

The scope of Treyarch's research and investment of time into this storyline never ceases to amaze me and is only matched by the fervour and passion shown by the owners, mods and members of this forum and others like it.

Whilst I think everyone will admit WAW caused a split in the Call of Duty fanbase I think there is no doubt that the Zombie offshoot has taken the series into a giant leap forward and I only hope that a) infinity ward can provide a game in MW2 which continues this evolution and b) Treyarch get another crack at the whip in the future and finally c) That we see continued extension of the zombie mode, either through continuing map packs or a stand alone game.

Massive Kudos to the dev guys at Treyarch, to Carbon and the mods who make this site work and to everyone who has contributed to unravelling this story, you make my time at work bareable and my time online unreal.
