I have been trying make sense of the main room transmission for some time now and had a few points that I'd like to get some input on.

First off at the start I think the voice says "R-4848N" and not "R-4808N" cause the voice actually pronounces "zero" on the first set of coordinates that has 06 ...... doesn't sound like it says "zero" in the initial part. What if the main room transmission was a recording that was meant to be sent out and wasn't recieved from anywhere in particular? And the guy who recorded was hung before he could send it out?

The voice that says the numbers at the start and end doesn't seem to be a part of the message at all .... it seems sort of pre-recorded. Now the first set of numbers is a location somwhere in China and not Area 51. Type in the first set of numbers (37 14 06 115 48 40) in the latitude and longitude coordinates in the bottom right of this page and hit "Show point".

Now type in -115 instead of 115 (37 14 06 -115 48 40). That will land in Area 51 and I think this is the where the whole confusion arises. I think the -115 part only came up because of all the Area 51 hype ..... -115 really isnt to be seen in any easter egg. So its safe to rule out Area 51 all together? Maybe .... maybe not.

Now the second set of coordinates (60 54 06.96 101 55 44.94) I thought would be for "Der Riese" but those coordinates are somwhere in Russia. Der Riese is supposed to be somwhere in Poland ... not anywhere near the second coordinate location. Not sure what to make of these coordinates yet.

Yet another line of thought ...... can we be absolutely sure that those numbers are actually coordinates and not something else?

Speculation. That's all it's ever going to be for now, at least until things are confirmed. Some of the things we've found could appear in Der Reise when it arrives in August. They could also not show up and then reappear in a later map. I like your ideas though. It's always good to have more and more insight, especially into topics that are kind of shaky.

It does say R-4848N. I finaly managed to get a high quality recording of the transmissions. Should i post them on youtube or an mp3 hosting website? I also found that one of the transmissions seems to containg parts of the main message that are lost due to static i.e all you hear is "mass infecties" (i think thats what it says), "element 115" and "Richtofen"........I'm going to try and paste them over the missing parts of the main transmission to see what happens.

ok, i haven't been here long so please no criticism if i'm way off here, but here it goes:
you said here that this could have been a transmission that was not sent yet. But what if this was not exactly a transmission recording, but just a "note" recording?
Instead of a message to be sent out, what if it was meant to be left for peter to come across and find at a later time at SNN? of course, this is just another theory but who knows.

Anyone had any luck with the recordings? I havent been able to work on them, as my brand new 42" t.v/monitor fried its self 2 days after i got it!!.....now i have to wait a month for them to send me a new one . Oh yea, I forgot to say that there are 2 easter eggs that we haven't found yet. One of them is Children singing and the other is a stereo recording of a woman crying........I have no idea where they are though.
