Feedback on possible new chat....

So some of you got to play around with a "possible" new chat room last night. I think everybody had quite some fun, but would like to know how you all felt exactly. Me, I like it, and think we should definitely look into getting it for here!!

i like it and dislike it so here are the strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths
Customization of chat
/me still works
Ability to make private chat rooms
Links are clickable without having to use the url bbcode.

Weaknesses
BBcodes don't work
It doesn't interact with our rank colors
It would have to be in a sub-forum (wouldn't be too bad seeing as I already use 2 tabs, one for chat one for forums)
It doesn't have the feel of the site. The site is kinda dark and bada** and the chat is all happy and bright.

Of course I like the vbulliten shoutboxes Smile

but don't know if that would cost money or not.

I liked it and thought we should mess around with it a little more then have it as our new chat. I like how you can make your own rooms even with passwords (if you wanted one).

I have another for us to check out also. I do agree more testing would be helpful. As far as rooms go, we'd have to consider the privacy aspect (talking behind peoples backs, etc.).

Again, this was just something we found, and we may just ditch the whole idea....

You can change the color/background of the chat box. Like i made the theme called "Black" i think it might look good with this site. And it saves the theme too. So if you log out, when you log back in, it will go back to the theme you saved it as.

oh, another advantage would be that it is easier to set up dates for map checking without actually having to be on XBL or PS3 to do so.

Great chat. A lot of fun. But it sounds like the Jetsons... Lol
