So, We all heard of the new zombies iphone app! Here is my review: I have logged 10 single player matches & 3 MP matches prior to this review, all on the 2nd generation ipod touch. The new Iphone "zombies" app hit this week, on the app store for USD $10. It comes with one, original "Nach Der Untonen" map, meaning night of the undead. It boats 2 modes: Single player & multiplayer. Multiplayer is offered on local wi-fi, worldwide wi-fi, and bluetooth. single player is on 1 system only. In single player, there are 2 maps, NDU and the tutorial. The tutorial takes place on NDU with Dr. Richtofen being your guide. GameplayIts the same old zombie mode gameplay, fight endless hordes of zombies as long as you can. There are 3 configurations to choose from, tilt, double nubs, and touch screen. I prefer double nubs, which is like 2 joysticks on the screens. It gives you a sore thumb, but you can take a pause. the zombies are by no means more diffcult, alsmot easier. They sometimes miss swipes, but it doesnt mess up this masterpeice. All guns are inlcuded, even the good 'ol ray gun! Graphics Like the DS, just about anyother iphone app. The amazing thing is is that this is a drect dump from the system! Nothing is cut out, not even the radio. The shots lag a little, but not cutting up the gameplay so, to sum up: PROS - same map! -same guns! -still lets you feel stisfied after going a long time - keeps all power ups -only $10 -more maps, verruckt being next, are promised! CONS -graphics lag some -not really playable on IPod touch ver. 1, or the original Iphone -I can't find any easter eggs! Thanks for reading! Overall, it gets a 8/10. good for downtimes at school/work. Please leave YOUR thoughts below! This game was developed by vendvivi games

I had a little hunt around for an update for it but so far nothing yet - i got my Touch free from a contractor at work so i wont complain too much. I would just buy the newer versions as it will be supported straight away - saves hassle. |

I suppose it's a good idea. It spreads the word of zombies round to people who possibly couldn't afford to buy WaW along with all the map packs. Also I guess it ushers in a solo zombies game for the consoles. On another note anyone know of a video that shows Richtofen doing the tutorial? I could only find videos of the gameplay.

yes, you can ADS. when you reload you have to hit the ADS button again. for those having trouble downloading it, you have to have 3.0 firmware, which on the touch costs $10. A version 3 ipod touch is reccomended over a 2 or 1, but my 2 works fine. The ver. 3 or 3GS is better becuase they have better graphics hardware.

I have now managed to download this and thinks its excellent. My first go i got to round 8. If any one has gotten the Ray Gun yet and found it doesnt even kill the Zombies as i did - JD has said they are working to resolve this.

i have now played this game and its prety dodgy. its quite good but awkward to control the right stick. one minute youl be looking straight, and try to make a slight adjustment, then all of a sudden the view will spin around, look at the floor, celing ect. quite frustrating. i also had the ray gun but it did nothing... i ended up camping by the grenades upstairs with a flame thrower(which is awsome btw) and i had a thompson aswell. survived upto round 12 first go so not bad but i died because i made a slight adjustment and span around, causing my fatal end... if they improve the control system i will defo get an ipod touch. well worth playing imo.
