The flamethrower blinds vision and is only usefull for instakill.

Not worth it. If you have an MG, then yeah, go for it, but other than that. . .

Sums up the cumbersome nature of the flamethrower pretty good, Yup.

Flamethrower is terrible if your trying to get kills, but I found on Der Riese its really good for getting points, you throw a monkey bomb then run up to the group of zombies and start flaming them = a lot of points.

Flamethrower is perfect for windows.

I think the flamethrower could be an amazing weapon but unforunatly it is not. It is weak and can not help you out in a pinch unless by some miracle you have insta kill. It has so much potential but it doesn't use it.

I think the flamethrower in DR solo is amazing. However you have to upgrade the weapon because when you do it lets you run quicker with it out. In multiplayer it doesn't help almost useless unless you are in the tunnel in Z-C. Need to have four people though, 1 at window, 2 at the top of the stairs and the flamethrower shooting out of the hole in the wall.

I think that the Flamethrower is TERRIBLE in zombies.But on MP its awesome

i use the flamy(upgrate) when i hold the windows and the other 3 hold the line at the carabin hallway...i made over 1500 kils at the window by the flytrap and mh..230000 points, but no headshots :-D

btw, nice strategy to get on 30 in 2 h and maybe more if there is amor

u know where the flytrapwindows is..where u can open the door to the shotgun!!
leave this door close!!!! and the other one to the mainyard too!!!! (use the left one to go out...by the thompson!!)

1 at the window by the flytrap(at 20 with the pap flamethrower) and the other 3 standing by the barrels and shot along the long way to the gate with the clock...there u have a nice psition to kill before the stand in front of u and make a lot of headshots(friend got 1000 kills, but 250000 points :-D)....

place all ur bettys in this little place around u and if there is one man down, throw the monkey over the wall in the mainyard, or when there is amor or something else...

u can use it for 3 people to...

our problem in the big rounds after 30 is "no amor" and its hard to get :-(......my best was 35..

the flamethrower has been drimaticly effected in der riese, instead of gaining power in later levels like all the other maps it loses power.

The flamethrower percentage burn effect decreases as the rounds grow.

At first, the burn is 0.5 to 0.65 of the zombie's maximum health, killing them in two burn phases.
As round progress, the burn will decrease in effectiveness.
By round 25, it will have decreased to 0.1 to 0.15, requiring ten to seven burn phases - meaning the player will need to set them on fire two or three times to kill them.

Both the Flamethrower and the new Nitrogen cooled flamethrower deliver the same burn damage.
The Flamethrower heats up at a rate of 30 and cools at a rate of 9.
The Upgraded Flamethrower heats up at a rate of 20 and cools at a rate of 13. Fairly better.

Every now and then I get the flamethrower from the box and every time I really wished that I hadn't. Past round 10 in DR does it do ANYTHING? I mean, any kind of affect whatsoever??? 'Cause I just get zombies that are on fire!


Question: If you light a zombie on fire, will he eventually die from it? For example, if I torch a bunch of Zs and teleport, will they eventually die trying to get to the other side of the map?

The zombie can eventually die from the burn assuming he is low enough on health so it kills him

Flamethrower can be VERY useful but only if you are quick and sharp. Like just a couple of days ago, something completely impossible happened:
It was round 32 on splitscreen and we both had Ray Gun and MG, but then I died. Next round I came back with only a Colt and no grenades (because of new update). My friend with the Ray Gun downed himself like 10 seconds in and I'm like
But I just ran around with the colt shooting until I got enough points to open the box, and I got the flamethrower. I ran around the help room for like 20 minutes just spinning around and torching, and then my flamethrower overheated opened box again and got grenades so used them to stop the zombies getting to me and finished the round

we died on round 34 cause we both only had colt and i had a flamethrower.

But, like everyone else has been saying, on Nacht Der Untoten and Verruckt it is useful, on Shi No Numa and Der Riese it is terrible!!
