We're going to focus on the cyanide tablet for now.

Cyanide makes the cells of an organism unable to use oxygen. Inhalation of high concentrations of cyanide causes a coma with seizures, apnea and cardiac arrest, with death following in a matter of minutes. At lower doses, loss of consciousness may be preceded by general weakness, giddiness, headaches, vertigo, confusion, and perceived difficulty in breathing. At the first stages of unconsciousness, breathing is often sufficient or even rapid, although the state of the victim progresses towards a deep coma, sometimes accompanied by pulmonary edema, and finally cardiac arrest. Skin color goes pink from cyanide-hemoglobin complexes. A fatal dose for human can be as low as 1.5mg/kg body weight.

Gas chambers

Hydrogen cyanide gas was the agent used by the Germans for mass murder in some gas chambers during the Holocaust. It was released from Zyklon B pellets, which were a commercial biocide. It was also used in US execution chambers, where it was generated by reaction between potassium cyanide dropped into a compartment containing sulfuric acid directly below the chair in the chamber.

Suicide or attempted suicide

Cyanide salts are sometimes used as fast-acting suicide devices. Cyanide is reputed to work faster on an empty stomach, possibly because the anion is protonated by stomach acids to give HCN. Famous cyanide salt suicides include:

* Paul Lafargue and his wife Laura Marx
* George Sterling
* Leonard Lake
* Adolf Hitler and his wife Eva Braun. Hitler also shot himself immediately afterwards (see Death of Adolf Hitler for details) ?
* Hermann Göring ?
* Heinrich Himmler ?
* Erwin Rommel (forced to commit suicide)

Some things that caught my eye were the fact that Adolf Hitler, Hermann Göring, and Heinrich Himmler all used cyanide pills to commit suicide. We obviously know that Adolf Hitler was heavily involved in World War II. But it also turns out that both Hermann Göring and Heinrich Himmler were both involved, and both of them were close "friends" with Hitler.

I'm also pretty sure that we've found mention of Heinrich Himmler somewhere else. There's a thread on the forums here somewhere.

Now, seeing that Cyanide tablets can be used as means of suicide, this could mean that the members of Group 935 expected catastrophe, and so prepared for it. And if a Cyanide Tablet wasn't available then they were willing to accomplish the task by any other means.

It could also mean that there was some way to terminate the monstrosities they had created. There could have been some form of way to administer the Cyanide Tablets through tubes like an IV or perhaps they administered it manually via syringe.
