The setting starts out in Berlin

Hitler knows he's losing the war. The only option left would be some kind of super soldier. Being interested the paranormal, he gets an idea. Undead soldiers. With all the casualties, there is no way his enemies can win. Resistance would be futile.

He calls to his assistant. He tells the assistant to get all the scientists cooperating with the Nazis to gather in Berlin. He will pick the only the smartest scientists to head the project. Project 935.......

Doctor Ludwig Maxis and his assistant, Edward Richtofen as chosen to head the project. The project will be housed at the newly created Der Riese factory. Harnessing power from the element 115, Maxis created the Wunderwaffe. He manages to create the first zombies for an inspection from the Feuher himself.

Hitler loves the new soldiers. He then asks for undead animals to assist the soldiers. With no dead animals, Maxis'es only choice is to experiment with his daughter's new dog, Fluffy.

While all these experiments are happening, Richtofen, realizes he is not able to handle the project and goes insane.

Maxis is able to create the first hell hound out of Fluffy. Richtofen(now crazy) traps Maxis in the chamber with his daughter, killing them both. He then leaves, and the zombie populates, until an uncontrollable army is taking over Europe. He then flees to Shi No Numa, a small Asian swamp village.

By now the Japanese have surrendered to the Allies. Knowing that Richtofen is responsible for the undead, the allies, including Russia, send 2 men escorted by a captured Japanese soldier to the village. As they get there, they find Richtofen and just in time as the undead have spread so far, that they are attacking the village.

Fighting the way out of Shi No Numa, they travel back to Der Riese by teleportation that was created by Richtofen for an escape. Finding nothing there, they investigate. There are new devices that amaze them. Teleporters, even the mass amount of stored body parts including brains with spines attached.

The first reports of undead were at an airfield, the incident was code named Nacht Der Untoten. The second, code named Verruckt, was an asylum ran by the Germans purely for insane/dead patients for the 935 experiments.
